Thanks guys. :) Think your all right about 2 or more Flagtails. On Sunday, my 5inch one was giving hell to the 11 incher. Literally chasing the biggee for 4 to 5 hours. and trying to bite him. Oddest thing i seen in ages!
The new FT is very calm, has not terroised ANYTHING in tank. Also has not eaten. But this could be down to the transport. If anyone has transported FT's (over 10inch) in poly boxes, then it can be quite disturbing. My one cracked the box, just before I moved him to new tank....pheewww!!
More pics in a month or so..

i would make up your mind which flagtail you want to keep fast or you will have a dead fish on your hands

flagtails just kill each other

looks great but a little bit big for your tank large flagtails are a bit skittish and you may find he does damage to himself in your tank

that said he does look great :D

i have moved a 10inch+ flagtail  i would say they are more powerful than a aro and can jump higher thats for sure

they smash their own heads in if you are not careful when shipping them

as for them mixing with aros or tigers mine used to be fine but over the last year he has turned into a beast

i have had mine for 5yrs now and it was 10inch when i got it so it must be a old boy now :D

at feeding time he goes mad chasing my 15inch tiger around and nipping at 18inch aros once the food has all gone hes carm again

dont under estimate the power and aggression of a large flagtail

wise words. THough, the big FT is anything but skittish. infact he's the calmest in the tank. He hasn't even tried to dispaly to any other fish in the tank yet (although only been 2 days)

If the smaller one persistantly chased the bigger, would it really be possible for 5" flagtail to kill one over twice his size?

I've felt the power of these monsters, and I am worried slightly of the damage it could do to itself / and the tank, if it went crazy and bashed his head.
I',m almost definately going to move the smaller one, as I really don't want to move the big one again.

I've tried taking a 15" out of my pond and putting it in my tank, FT went balistic and ended up breaking his dorsal and cutting his head. Ended up back in the pond. I've tried numerous times to mix FT's together and they always fight till one dies.
