most of the time the FT will suck the slime coat due to hunger... if he got enough food, it will not, but some still does. for me i will move the FT in and out of the ray tank after he has done his job.

Never had any luck here.

Have a ray named "Scarrlette" to prove it. Rays cost too much to even risk it. Rays weren't the only fish I had "FT" issues with either. Not a fan of the FT at all.

I think the only ones having any luck either overfeed or just haven't waited long enough.

Well there are 3 LFS around me. The one I stopped in today said they could get them for me if I wanted them. But I have not stopped into my main LFS (the guys I trust, who also know that most of my tanks are ray tanks) and asked.

I saw a ray tank on here yesterday, and he also had FT in with them. I really liked the look of the FT and started doing the research. Since I got mixed messages when reading, I figured Id ask here.

Guess the FT will have to be placed on the back burner. Im looking for something that can replace my bala sharks I had in the tank. Thats the only reason Im looking and would like something with some color..
Rt now its two Motoro Rays, 1 Aro, 2 silver dollars and 1 CK. So color is needed..lol

I keep a flagtail each in my 2 tanks. Both tanks have rays in them and I don't have any issues at all. One tank is an 8x3ft, and the other is a 7x4.5ft...
I don't specially feed my flagtails.. Keep them as cleaners only
Many suggested me to remove, but I haven't seen any my ft nearing my rays at all.
I've got some ample space for the rays to move around though...

Oh I know not all LFS are the same. I happen to know several guys in the trade who also work for LFS. And the one I trust is the owner of his own little shop. The shop owner can order me anything I ever want, I only stop into the other LFS to chat with the guys I know and see if they can also order for me and what their prices are.
When it comes to my rays, they only come from one place. And 98% of my fish also come from the same place. But I do buy plants and some supplies at the other place just because I get a discount. So I always do my research before I buy any fish. Thats why I talk with people I know. Im not really dealing with the LFS, Im dealing with people I know and one I trust more than others when it comes to my stock and getting new stock.
