flame angle with ick and the pistol shrimp too

I have found herbatana works very well, it is an all natural tank additive. I have used it in my tank and had great success with it. I would also suggest a hospital tank to keep the ick from spreading any further. The fresh water dip is a good way to go as well but if the fish is to weak from the ick it will not last through the night following the dip. Good luck

Hypnosalinity works well, be careful with the cupramine or any copper based meds as they mayy kill your inverts in the process. I found in the past on mysw setups, copper is themost effective, but also the most dangerous to your live stock.

I've also used Herbtana with partial success, it can stop the spread to uninfected fish. The bottle reads it as a preventive more so than a cure. Cuprimine works better for infected fish. However the free floaters and eggs still take 6-8 weeks to live out their life cycle in the display tank. One way or another it's better to use a hospital tank rather than treat the display.

i picked up a large skunk cleaner shrimp last week. it molded this weekend. totally freaked me out, I thought it had died...it molded entirely (body, tail, legs, feelers etc lol), I picked up out of the tank which I thought for sure was a corpse...haha

then later that day I saw it's huge feelers behind a rock....:D

i saw it last night when the lights were off running around but for the most part it's stayed under a rock all weekend. guess it's rebuilding it's new skin?

Yes my cleaner shrimp hides for a day after he molts too. It freaked me out the first time he did it for me too. My fish ate his shed before i had the chance to remove it too lol

That's what happened when I got my coral banded shrimp. The day after I got it, it was sitting in the bottom of the tank so I touched it and it fell apart! Freaked me out! Then I saw it later that night. lol. Its scary the first time... I never see my shrimp though except early in the mornings.

no doubt. i thought just the body molded. not everything! haha
