The black and white fish looks like a jag hybrid.

Acaras are still as beautiful, just less mean.

The fish above, is Nandopsis tetracanthus,, and its not surprising it could be called a Jag, I suspect 90% of LFSs couldn't tell a tetracanthus from a managuense, or an Andinoacara pulcher from an A coerleopunctatus, unless someone there actually knows their cichlids.
And most stores don't really cater to those of us who care.
But using common names alone, like Jag, or GT is often a clue that they don't actually know their arse from a hole in the ground.
I believe there are at least 4 species of Parachromis that might be dubbed Jag, and a few other similar looking from other genera.
I never trust any LFS that uses common names alone, a scientific name will almost always be attached if the seller is competent. (although that in itself is no guarantee).
Another common screw up is the use of the Trade name Red Terror, it is applicable to both Mesoheros festae, and Mayaheros uropthalmus, so unless you educate yourself, you've only got a 50% chance of getting the right fish (if that matters to you).
To me they don't look alike, but I suppose to some they do.

I suppose they could be thought of as superficially similar, and a LFS might think one is more valuable.
