Flat vs Glossy

I don't think its going to matter which you do since your painting on the outside. The smooth shiny glass on the inside is going to reflect its appearance the same whether is gloss or flat paint. I think its just going to look black with either..

I highly recommend Krylon Fusion flat black spray paint. I was amazed how nicely it covered and looked.

If you paint it flat it will still look like gloss from the front side.
I would still say flat only cause it will bond better then gloss

Flat background...I unknowingly used glossy and it now doubles up as my mirror

I agree I painted one of my smaller tanks with flat black and my main tank with gloss I cant really tell the difference because the glass makes even the flat black shiny
