Flathead vs red tail

In this century flatheads get larger, but in the 1800s the RTC was definitely a much larger fish than today. Overfishing has reduced mature specimen size. Same can be said of the blue catfish of north america. Flatheads are actually on the increase. I have pics of both up to 150 lbs.
For comparison there is a jau over 200 lbs, a artc 193 lbs., blue catfish 150 lbs., and Bagarius yarelli 174 lbs.

man that redtail that necrocanis posted is HUGE what a Monster!! RTCs are by far the coolest and most attractive catfish you can get!
o definatly but still theirs more monsters like the wel's catfish too them get huge and bullheads get pretty big. question do all catfish have the jaw pressure that bullheads did i went fishin with my friends and one pulled up a bullhead that was like 1ft and 6inchs and was like dude help me get this off my line im like sec he got it out while i was reeling in my line neways hes like imma just let it lay here i dun wanna get bit im like quit bein a sissy (i myself have never picked up a catfish by the mouth) well i put on a glove stuck my hand in its mouth not excpectin it to bite down like it did. it was more of a shock then a hurt but still just a question tho
