Down here, I collected around 10,000 in a day. Saved the eggs during a day of noodling for flatheads and blue cats. Hatched out 6 large masses of eggs.
Raised them to about 4" and released them into area farm ponds. The owners were extremely pleased. Saved a few and grew them out.
The second largest in the state was caught a few miles from my house at blue marsh lake. He's in the tank at Cabela's in Hamburg. I heard he would of been the record but it took 3 days to get it officially recorded.
