I found a flatworm in my filter while doing a water change. After doing a google search I found that some people think they are harmless while others say kill it right away. It is kind of cool looking, should I kill it or put it back in my filter where I found it. It is about 1 1/2", what are the odds that I have more in my tank.

Kill it. They live as parasites in the digestive systems of fish.

flat worms reproduce like crazy. there not very harmful in low numbers, but can destroy a tank within weeks if left uncorrected. See link below for great information about erradicating them.

Thanks, for the help. This is the only one I have seen, but it was pretty big compared to most of the ones I have heard about. If I start to see more I will use that treatment. Thanks.
