well it wasnt easy moving everyone, and my entire living room got soaking wet catching them, but they are in the new tank and looking comfortable, which is a good sign to be sure .... they got a little beat up during the move, but nothing serious from what i can tell ... its amazing how big the fish actually are when out of the water, and then how small they look now in the big tank!

everytime i do a water change, somehow electrical current gets in the water... first time it happenned i thought i had a cut on my finger and thats why it was stinging, then i realized i was getting electricuted... i narrowed it down to a light that has a 3 prong cord, but the prior owner cut the ground prong off.... i removed that light, problem fixed.... now i do a water change again, and i start getting zapped.. this time i narrowed it down to a powerhead... i started wondering if i had too much draw going into the 2 surge protectors, so i plugged the 1000 watt heater into a completely separate outlet and problem seems fixed, but i thought this the last time, so i'm not sure... all my wires and cords are up high, dangling from the ceiling, none are touching the floor, could this be the problem? I am still using a different light that is also missing the ground prong, could this be the problem? and will electricity kill my fish and or biological filter? they arent getting zapped cause they arent grounded, just me, but still am not sure

i changed the light to a different one that has all 3 prongs to be on the safe side, but i'm still concerned the problem isnt fixed

I have had problem before with one submerged power head, it failed and i got electricuted as i touched the tank, switch off one by one and check.

P.s is this glass tank or acrylic? If glass whats the thickness?

1 inch acrylic.... i did one by one unplug everything, its just so weird cause i wont get zapped for days, then as soon as i do a waterchange, bang.... last time i singled it out to the light, removed it, now 4 days later+waterchange i get shocked again, now i singled it down to a powerhead, but its running now with no shocking.... thats what makes me think its something else

The fish are going to suffer in a basement. Bring it over to my house so it doesn't end badly. :D

You have something shorting to ground your just going to have to unplug and plug back in to find out what is causing it and if you have stuff with broken ground prongs dont use it.

lol! i know, i wish i didnt have to put it in the basement, believe me.... and i removed all those now 2 used to be 3 prong things and it was still happening.... but now its all good.... weird how sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt
