Flirt Hates Jack Dainelles

i'm sure it was a jack daniels you were drinking, not jack danielle's, as danielle is not the name of an alcoholic beverage, jack daniels is. danielle is the spelling of a female's name...

Have you determined the sex of the EB yet? How are you doing to introduce him/her to the standard jacks?

Im not sure size blue you got or how big your standards are, but I have read its best to have Blue bigger than its standard mate to help prevent aggression toward the somewhat fragile blue. Just a thought. What are you using the divider for?

both females, both have a blue beard.

I disagree. they have a little blue/green on their gills. but nothing like my female. nothing like her whatsoever.

my female has a bright blue beard, and drab grayish brownish striped body.

those fish look like males to me.

they arent a pair yet still trying though. the divider keeps the largest EBJD from killing the youngest one

the two fish in question much more resemble the top fish (male).

that female you have pictured is unmistakably a female.

the fish in question don't have blue gill plates like that.

I'm not sure what you're looking at as "blue gill plates" but flirt and Jack Daniels don't appear to have them.

maybe flirt is possibly a female, but Jack Daniels is male.

based on those pictures provided, and the who ha that came after in replies.......

Fish A (Flirt) = Stressed female JD in my eyes.

Fish B (Jack Dainelles <--- LoL) = Young Semi-Stressed Male JD. You can even see his little lumphead and the purple/red chest&belly color filling in.

Neither look mature yet, but this doesn't mean under the right circumstances they couldn't breed. For some fish it's more of compatibility and proper time/age/comfort.

gl on pairing and spawning for your project.
