Floating Bichir

It's a natural thing they are dong as juvenile in the wild they will float motionless to avoid being detected and eaten by larger predators it is just an ODD thing an ODDBALL FISH does ! My Sen will sit like this for upwards of 30 minutes before swimming up to the surface for a gulp of air and he's right back to the filter intake tube !

My rope fish does this all day almost everyday lol he just floats around without a care in the world

The thread is from 11 years ago,there's a good chance this fish has already passed away.

If it wasn't properly taken care of I could see it but they can live up to 20yrs if proper Bichir husbandry is in place
