Floating hides

Has anyone ever tried floating hides? I created this tube from plastic canvas and jammed it under sme driftwood. Well my monsters dislodged it and me being lazy left it for me to fix it later then I noticed several fish using it. First it was the afer knife fish then I noticed an eel in it. The funniest was my 12" red fin pleco which weighed so much the tube was vertical. Well now the bichirs like it I've seen 4-5 of them using it.

Had a floating ceramic log with suction cups that worked well. My polys loved it.

Mine was floating at the top with a gap for air and they still all crammed in there with their back all out the water a bit. I had 4 in there all the time back then.

Zoo Med makes floating logs that work very well (small, medium, and large). They also have sinking ones.

Could also use pvc and suction cups

yeah that would work, oh I caught 2 bichirs sharing it earlier and couldn't get a pic because of glare

That's neat. Never thought of a floating tube. My polys love to rest in my floating water wisteria
