After cycling your new tank, make sure the temperatures match....Simply net the fish into the new tank......Critical thing is the temperatures being the same......

No offense to this person, but this is not a good way to go. Yes oscars are hardy fish and will most likely survive. But your mortality odds go way up.

On top of temp, you have pH (free floating hydrogen ions), this is a big killer in fish when it changes drastically. You also have kH and TDS (deals with their osmoregulation, i.e. how they breathe) to think about, if there is a huge change they could suffocate.

Luckily for us, fish adapt fairly quickly (matter of hours at most when it comes to these things). Start with what they are used to, and the more slowly you can change it to the new, the less stress.

The drip can also be accomplished by starting a syphon in some airline tubing and tying a knot in it to where it only drips.

thanks for the advice guys. I put them in a bucket and slowly filled it with the new tank water. I took about two or three hours to fill and refill it and they are doing wonderfully. They are kinda skiddish being in the new tank but they are starting to come around. thanks again guys!

Glad it worked out....
