my ropefish kinda floats... is that supposed to happen? Sometimes its fine and sometimes its rear end floats. It spends a lot of time, especially at night floating by the surface in a corner. But it doesnt really seem sick... its just unable to stay under water... what do i do?

sounds like hes got wind lol only joking idont realy know whats rong i had a rope fish for about 2 years and i never saw him do that, so i would say that theres something up , or maybe he is inflating him self for hunting???? my tank had plants so he could sit in them near the top and just wait for a feeder to swim by

Yea i dont know, its really weird, cuz sometimes hes totally fine and sometimes hes like against the surface of the water. but its not like hes weak or sumthin cuz when i poke him hell just swim away.
hes still eating healthy and all so i really dont know wat it is.
its just weird... the other day he was eating and his head was by the food and his tail was straight up... like he was totally vertical cuz he cudnt keep his ass down... then he finally crawled under a piece of drift wood n popped his head out and ate from there...

i noticed that when he is floating theres one part along his bottom that has a bit of a bump... but he hasnt really been doin it since i posted it...
maybe getting worried was the magic medicine... damn attention seekers :P
