Flooded my basement and killed 18 fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is why I only have a 35 gallon in the house. My other 6 tanks are in the garage. Less water damage when I screw up. Just takes one time.

I was rearranging the Decor in a 35 Gallon I had and a large rock slipped out of my hand and hit the bottom of the tank and the tank exploded. I had to pick up my S. Maculatus piranha and house him in the sump for a little while.
Now , I do not put any rocks in my 180 Gal.

Starting water changes without everything you need .. Long story short I was rushed moved all about 500 angelfish fry to my 220 and only had a drop of prime had to sit there and watch all my fry die in the middle of the night there was nothing I can do now I just over over over stock my declorinAtor

. Once you have been in the hobby long enough you make some mistake that either kills fish or floods your house.
this is very true. was filling a tank in my bedroom and got distracted in the other room watching tv. never again. remembered, got a very serious shot of adrenaline and ran back in to find about 2 inches of water on the floor. luckily no losses, my tap is pretty close to my tank params I guess. the next day coincidentally they were doing repairs to the ceiling on the suite below me. I was sure I was going to get booted from that apartment. nothing came of it though:oops:
