ha!! that cottonmouth was dead alreay...a hawk had him :grinyes: , but did see others and it seemed we were the only ones along this certain canal...as we asked a few other fishermen and they said no way..too many snakes along shore...wusses! we did catch sooo many cichlids this time down....it actually got to be a pain taking off jags and mayans...they were worse than bluegill.

where did you go fishing? i have never seen a wild jag in south florida. probably havent looked hard enough but those mayan cichilds are really cool. they do get annoying when you're fishin for other stuff but they fight hard. how big are they? how do you sex them? are females bigger or are males bigger when adults?

btw, very cool tank.
 
tamiami canal at the entrance to trail glades gunclub (miami) on the right side of the entrance..thousands of them.

i hate mayans,there taking over fl.
and none of my fish eat the babies.
in my city theres schools of them.
might castnet the big ones and fillet them for fish food. lol
