Florida Fishing Guide

Had an AWESOME day today 
We have 27 fish in the totes, tomorrow we go for the Red Devils. I caught 1 Pea, 18 Mayans, 4 Florida Gar and 4 Oscars. Have the hotel loaded with totes and air pumps. I really hope I can bring these all back without any dead fish. Pics arent that good because we were in a hurry with the camera phone and didnt want the DSLR all slimmed up but I do have a lot of non-fish pics but tomorrow it's coming with me. Will post more as they come. Hope to catch a Snakehead before we leave. The Pea was awesome, just as the sun was almost set, I seen two sets of black stripes and that black mohawk, tossed a worm and they didn't look at it. So I put on a live shiner and bam, nailed it but came off, put on another and got it. Awesome fight on ulta-light. I dont want to leave here, we are talking about moving here, not in Miami because its crazy here, but somewhere close, this is where I'm supposed to be, not KY

Before the guide today I caught some Midas on my own, monster Midas. Once we got on the boat we boated 20+ and he is going to catch more for me. These are from today. I caught some small tilapia, lots of Barred Midas but tossed them back and the biggest Mayan I have ever seen, anywhere. I'm also possibly getting two 15" monster midas, we will see on Sat
So this huge Mayan I have made me wonder, just how big is it? Well, it's bigger than the current IGFA World Record which is stated at 2lbs 8ozs but anyone with a set of eyes can see that that fish is NOT the true reported weight. The Mayan in my tank DWARFS the current record. The thing is, the guide told me he has caught bigger, up to 16". I'm going to give him the bad/good new now.
Well the bass didn't make it, he was fine for 4 days then on the way home we heard something jumping several times, opened the lid and he was on his side. I had two Midas on their sides when I got home. Both were swimming the next day but today one of them doesn't look so well and may not make it over night. He is the biggest at 15", but the others are doing good. I kept the huge mayan and 2 smallers ones and the 3 Oscars. I took in 12 Mayans, 10 Jewels and 3 Gar to the LFS for credit.
