Florida gar can't stop floating?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My mates did the same twice and died after the second time- broken back or swim bladder I think. I would b worried if I saw my gar do that.

I am not sure this is as normal as people keep saying? If the gar is not swimming properly (spinning) and "flipping out" then it sounds like nervous system/spine may have taken a hit.

Is it acting better now?
madding his gar is dead..he posted in one of his posts..this is not normal behavior and you are right..i have a gar which i nursed back to health from a spine problem..it still can't maintain it position..it sometimes spins but really slowly..i know that gar has a problem but it seems healthy now..this is the same gar that didnt eat for a month..so spinning and nose diving is not normal..i have a gar who spins and nose dive although slowly..but it is a problem

May I ask. My gar seem to have also broken his zback. He wriggles too and spins slowly. He floats at the top of the tank with his tail up. He also haven't eaten for already 2 weeks now after he eaten 7 feeders in a single day. What should I do? Thanks in advance.
