variety in diet is the main concern. just make sure you switch it up

exactly!! u can feed live but u need to QT them and give a variety
and plz dont starve him. i didnt starve mine, just kept giving a variety untill.... success!!!
now my large florida gar(my baby, and my pride) will eat whole shrimp if they are deshelled and floating(that is they key!). if the shrimp floats then he will eat it. try some earth worms.

Do u inject the earth worms wth a little air to make them float, or let them sink to the bottom?
