if you have a 200 gal stock tank why even take the risk? what's the footprint of the stock tank?

I'm not sure on the size of the footprint. The stock tank is at my parents house. I'll have to go measure it this weekend. What do you think about me putting him in the pond for the summer? The water temp will be in the high 70's and the only other thing in that pond is a couple of frogs and some fathead minnows.

i am sure hed be fine in it for the summey. the frogs and minnows could easily become food. i dont think you will be able to see him too well though.

The pond is a little less then 2 ft. deep. I used to have rock bass, sunnies, bullheads and painted turtles in there. I have a really good filtration system for it and you could see them fine.

Alright, the foot print for that stock tank is 3'x5'x2.5' and it's 270 gallons. Now my dad told me he can get me a 300 gallon+, round tank for me. I don't know the foot print for that but I believe I'm going to use that for his new tank if I don't put him im my pond for the summer.

if you have tanks like these available you are nuts to not put that fish in it! a round tank would be awsome too!

lol, I had no idea that I could get these from him until I brought it up over the weekend. My only concern is that I won't be able to see my gar from the side because the tanks are heavy-duty semi clear plasic and not really transparent. I can only really view him from the top. Oh well. I'm just going to have to save up for a 300 gallon!

do you have any pictures of the tanbks you can get? id like to see them. even if you can only see them from the top it's just like a weather controlled pond.

I'll see what I can do on the pics. I guess that round tank I mentioned is around $700 bucks! But he can get them for me at $49.99!

In summer time no problem i would say have to take him out by end of september to make sure if you could keep the pond heated in winter to around 60 should be ok, anything less then that might be problem.
