It was sold as an alligator gar but I'm pretty sure it's a Florida. Tell me what you think.

Trying to get it off of feeders. I have a clean guppy and white cloud minnow source at the moment but it won't last for too long. Any tips on frozen foods that they may like. I tried blood worms and krill but no luck so far.

nice little florida! congrats!

Still no luck with prepared foods but i'm patient. I know eventually it will eat. On a good note its no longer skittish when I approach the tank and actually comes to the glass to check me out.

You could try some market shrimp or cut fish, once he eats that it should be easy to get him to f/d krill and/or pellets.

This is one stubborn fish. I've gotten Pbass off of live quicker. My supply of minnows and guppies are dwindling and I refuse to buy feeders from a lfs to worried about disease or parasites. I've been using the method of dropping the feeders in one corner of the tank and then mixing in prepared foods. I've tried shrimp, talapia, krill, blood worms, food sticks and massivore with no luck. At this point I'd be happy even if it tried it and spitted back out. I have never been a fan of withholding food especially at this young age but I might give it a try.
