*calls tank builder*

tank is on its way to my place...will be here tonight...dun dun dun!

thanks Jordan. The tank is on it's way tonight and I'll spend a while setting it up and getting pics. (which might be blurry, as it's "move the tanks/drink a beer" party night at my house)

So, hopefully the tank will cycle quickly and the gars will be in there asap.

I had to modify the tank due to bugdet, but have about 350 gallons of water (8ftX3ftX2ft tall)....how many full grown floridas would be able to thrive in there? I've got two "little" guys, and two more being donated (both around the same size as the existing two). I'd like this to be a strictly gar tank, because I've fallen in love with them. Or would I be able to mix gar species? My lfs has some small shortnose (less than 5 inches) for $15 that I'd like to grow out and mix with the floridas if possible

Others can go into specifics but I've read here and elsewhere that shortnose are very challenging, and a bit "nuts". If you want a gar tank I'd look into getting hold of some tropical gars.

I'll probably use the water from the 150 to fill the new tank, which should also help. Slight problem yesterday/last night. as in a lost camera, so we'll need to find it before the pics are taken
