If you want to see turtles go find any ditch with water and look i=on the banks, you should see hundreds. Spotted turtles are going to be a lot more rare though, I have never seen any but If I recall correctly, they are protected (you may want to double check this though). As far as ringnecks go, look under pieces of wood and fallen trees, you should fine at least one. Mud snakes are hit and miss, It took me 5 years to find one but when I did, I started seeing them everywhere I think it has a lot to do with the conditions and the area that you look for them. If you want to see an American croc, go to a zoo or forget about it.

one place we go herping is on alligator alley where there is an over pass going over the canals or a lil north in collier county between exit 101 the last one b4 the toll booth and there is a road lake blvd and black burn rd and canal that follow the alley where u can find some good things just google map search it.

John (snookn21) does a lot of collecting around the everglades. I doubt he will tell you many exact spots since he is a vendor and has to protect his business but he may be able to give you some good tips about collecting in the general vicinity. A very nice guy to talk to.

You can see american crocs at the marina at flamingo in the everglades. If you do go, ask a ranger to point them out. They are usually on a cement/rock bank on the east side of the river that flows right there.

Yeah, I took a look at that list and there are veiled chameleons in Florida?... Thats pretty cool... But That would be cool to go herping in Florida because of the diverse species from all around the world in one spot
