Florida Room Tank Setup.

I've recently received wifely authorization for a large tank in the Florida Room. There's just not enough room in the main house... 500G

Temperatures in the FL (sun) room can range from 80's (w/ little AC unit on) during the summer to 30's during the winter. 100's if the power goes out.

How can I manage the temps in a tank like this?

WEll if you have the time Clothes up some of the windows, like use dry wall and block every other set of the windows, so still have the effect for the florida room but will help control temp, what we did in my old parents house

I've looked at some of the chillers but have not found much info on how many gal they can cool vs. degrees below air temp...

What do I need to keep 500 gal 25 deg F cooler than the room and how much power does it use so I can setup a proper UPS for 24 hours of emergency power.

I'm replacing the roof on the FL room with the newer, better insulated, panels. That will help a lot! The current roof acts like a radiator!

Blocking off windows will get me a ticket straight to the dog house. Plus I like the sun in the room in the morning. I do have some pretty good blinds that I close when it starts getting to be too much for the window A/C.

i would cool the room with ac before i paid for a chiller chillers are more expensive than a small room ac and for emergency you could use bags of ice

Ok, so an A/C upgrade as part of my tank build. Who'd of thunk it?

The stand will have a warren truss design for the back and sides and a traditional header and beam support for the front to make for easy access. I'm off work for a little stay-cation next week so we'll see what I can get done.

It will be 10' long X 3' tall X 2.5' wide
I'm primarily concerned with the front glass. That's a LONG piece and I'd really rather avoid having to use two with a wood support brace in the middle. I'm thinking 5/8"
