florida softshell turtle

I caught a softshell from a strip pit and handed it to my friend and that turtle tried to kil his fingers. It was a vicous lil guy.

I'd go with a smaller, easy to handle and maintain species like a Mud or Musk Turtle if I were you.

And that photo that someone posted up isn't a Florida, it's a Spiny Softshell.

they get to a good size. i have seen them in the wild with a shell that was 2 feet from front to back.

found a link for a site selling them closer to full grown
