very nice started flowerhorn!
i have bred them for a while i love these fish......i used to be anti hybrid
id drop in a blood parrot with him for company and you can se if he is male/female by if it spawns eggs etc
deff looks like he will have a knot head
whats a knot head??? there are other ways of sexing right? venting etc? he's only 3" atm but ill get a BP and see, if he's female ill breed him with my RD

ok thanks! do you think his eyes will colour up to become red?

Typically if the eyes are yellow its has some blood parrot blood in it which would make it a KAMFA. You may want to play with the ph and raise/drop and see how the fish reacts. I have seen KAMFAs thrive once you find their magic water parameters.

Good Luck!

ok thanks so changing PH is like adding rocks and wood etc???? sorry i dont know much about this.

so its a kamfa for sure?

you can add buffers but the easiest is adding crushed coral/coral chips into your filter and adding bit by bit and record your ph and how the fish looks.

Yes the yellow eye indicates it has some other blood which is usually a bp and as the pics are progressing showing more and more kamfa traits. What are you feeding this guy?
