Flower horn id/thoughts

Just picked this guy up a week or two ago. Curious if anyone could tell me what type and quality level. Honesty is ok...

More current pic before I changed the tank. He got a bit darker. Painted background blue now, and have white sand in tank.

Any thing I could be doing to calm him?

I did redo the tank, removing plants, added smoother rock, and changed background from black to blue.

Also added in some air bubble wands.

Give him sometime to adjus, your remodel probably stressed him out a little. Just make sure you have good clean warm water then he’ll start to strive. His red should start to get more intense and his kok will pop more.
