Yours might be a female like this one.

It does seem to have the bigger anal area and shorter fins. I hope it gets red like yours.

What would one expect to pay for my fish. I paid 75%

That's not my fish. I got it from a facebook page. I will nver sell a female with tht quality. I will go further with breeding.

I’m almost 100% sure it’s a male, getting a female with a kok like that for $75 will be a steal. Best way to know for sure is to vent.

You can wait for it to lay eggs. By then you now if it is a female or not.

Male. Pointed tube out. From my experience, male tube always out a little . . . .and dark in color
