flower horn tank mates

As i said before, i think a 55 is absolute minimum. When the fish gets larger you should strive for at least a 75 or 90. As always, the bigger tank the better. i think a 180 or 220 would be a perfect size, but not often do you see tanks that size dedicated to just one FH.
 
I have owned a number of FH's over the years, all kept in 90-125 gallon tanks. Personally I would not keep a FH in a 55 gallon tank, unless it was a SB variant.
 
Couldn't agree more RD. Don't get hung up on grading. Look for a fish you relate to. One that reacts to your presence. A fish you can call a friend. FH grading doesn't make much sense in the long run really
 
My red devil is 12 inches in a 75 gallon tank and I would regard that as absolute minimum. I think a flower horn deserves more than a 55 gallon. As for the 125 with a pair of jags, I would imagine that flowerhorn wouldn’t last very long.
