Do it Don. I'm afraid my rays are too aggressive but I would love to have a large flower.

it must be an aggressive eater to take out an armatus. How large is yours now?
 
I've had no real problems keeping male flowers and tigers once they are larger with other rays but while they are smaller I keep them with pups or by themselves. I prefer keeping them with pups so I can feed a variety of foods and it makes it easier to train the flowers or tigers to take other things. I personally haven't had any problems with females and other rays but have lost every female I've had once I put them in with the male tigers and flowers due to much stress during breeding. This has happened in 2 days with a 6 year old female flower and less than 1/2 a day with a smaller flower in with a male pup that got interested in breeding and I didn't catch it soon enough as I was at work.
 
So I took a shot... I got a small male maybe 6 inches... After being bumped twice during shipping he finally arrived last night around 1030pm (original arrival time was 230Pm) I was not sure he was going to make it while acclimating... but he is alive and kicking this morning. He is in a 40 plumbed into my 500 and I just put some black worms in but no interest yet. I think i got a good deal ..200 shipped? Wish me and him luck!! Thanks for the info.
