Hi I have a flowerhorn tank and it was just a new tank I recently bought him from the store last 2 days I noticed high in ammonia. Should I add beneficial bacteria media from an established tank and place the media in the new filter? Or is there any bio media in filter that can get rid of ammonia because the flowerhorn has been coming up the surface and getting air. It also have a little of Popeyes on him. I used seachem prime and stability but so far no luck in decreasing ammonia.

How long has the aquarium been setup?
Sounds like it's not fully Cycled.
Please post all your parameter readings.
