FlowerHorn and Texas Cichlid mates?

It has been a year now since the eggs hatched. Here is a few pics of the yearlings that I kept.

Unfortunately, after two batches the FH mother killed the Cyano father. But I recently was shocked when she and my larger Texas hybrid formed a pair instead of trying to kill each other like before. I have eggs again people... Check out the video I just shot. They are both glass banging and in breeding colors. And this happened within one hour of me leaving the kitchen area.

Absolutely gorgeous. This is really nice when someone follows up on a thread like you did. I'd dearly love to have a cross like those for the beauty and responsiveness. Great job.

I go fishing quite often and this guy gets my leftover salty shrimp. It does wonder for the pinks and blues. As far as I know, he is the only one that looks like this.
