PPL can say whatever. But in common sense, the fish is trying to swim to towards that direction because that's where it's eyes see or it wants to go but the glass wall is blocking it.
It is not calling for attention!

it could be anywhere. It just wants to swim in that direction to get there.

But neither of us are wrong because no fish has stepped up to say anything YET.

Why check water? The fish is in great health. It should be that way.

mine does that too when the lights are out.. its just a sign that ur Fh is a healthy one, next time u can do is to train him like a dog, let him follow ur fingers outside ur tank, if he follows it, reward it with sum pellets.. the next time around he will be quick to move when he sees ur fingers coz he expects a pellet after he follows ur fingers
