I have a female srd about 3 inches that pumps out eggs about twice a month. I have a male king kamfa about 4 inches and was wondering if they are old enough to breed
Oh okay I also have this it's a kamfa x kkp it's fading right now about 5 inches I attached pics of the parentsThe only other comment I need to add to this conversation is that your male is at risk for injury when when is only slightly larger then the female. Typically when breeding you want your male to be a few inches larger then your female because females can be very rough and aggressive when in breeding mode. If your male isn't strong enough to keep her in check she could really hurt him badly or worse kill him. A successful breeding experience relies on so many factors. This is just another variable to consider.

okay cool thank you for your help. so when i cross the kamfa with the srd what would it be calledIf it were my breeding project, I would wait until the red eyed pearly ZZ/Kamfa was a little larger to breed to your SRD female. Flowerhorns, especially males, can grow very rapidly if fed a good varied diet as well as having great filtration and performing weekly water changes. Give that red eyed guy a few months and he will be much bigger and more ready to breed. Not to mention that he looks like he could have some kok potential where the other kkp offspring is not looking like it will have any kok at all.
