what size ratio do you recommend for breeding flowerhorns?

what i am worried about is, if they are the same size, they might kick the crap out of each other trying to establish dominance. then if the male is too much bigger, he may get too excited and kill the female.

Every breeder i know uses huge males like 8-10" + with tiny females like 3-4 inches.

thank you. i was wondering about that mostly because the female that i want to breed is evil to other fish. i will have to wait until my males puts on a few more inches then. shouldn't be too long because he seems to be bigger every time i look at him.

u always want ur female half or less the size of the male..females r very aggresive when breeding.

my female doesn't need to breed to be aggressive. my male is in for it if she gets worse during breeding
