flowerhorn breeding questions

u always want ur female half or less the size of the male..females r very aggresive when breeding.

this is my male and female. They are about perfect size for one another IMO. Female is 5" male is at least 13".

I've been trying to breed a 5-6" male with a 4-5" female for the last few months and every time I let them go together they look lips immediately. If the male was more dominant I wouldn't have this problem.
