  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
its a malau they do that when they get older its just in there blood nothing you can do sorry

ill try to post more pics of him.. im not sure what is his breed.. maybe ill try to feed it with chingmix..

lots of things affect mature color....food affects the end result I found thru the years. I started with fh in 2003 and only feed hakiri, and using some of the inhancement foods, I noticed color was really altered. But like some others said the fish may be bored, and most older fish fade. water quality, lighting ,and interaction affect all fish, dont leave hime in a low dark tank in a room no one walks by and expect full potential... Just so of my experiences with fh!! But leas great looking for that head

If someone locked you in an empty room with nothing to occupy your time and no natural light, how good would your tan look? Might as well keep him in a bucket imho.

^ What?

rofl so.... colorful gravel makes a difference?

Yes, Big difference.

Thats not a fader ZZ. Im pretty sure its 2 different fish in the pics provided.

That looks like a natural progression to me, but I think it's important to note
that he's in two completeley different situations in the two different photographs
It looks like he's blending in well in both of them.

My point is don't forget that fish change their colour at will, and will do it to match things.
He looks like a pretty proud fish, just colour up his world (both literally and metaphorically) and he'll do the same

LOL, Thanks kaliedoscope, thats what I was getting at too.... I think its a great fish too, I noticed the surrounding changed too...I was assuming he was in a dark low tank comparing shots... I was simply appling the view dont make his conditions lesser and expect the potential to continue.... Id be all over that fish in a store!!!
