Flowerhorn Eggs! lots of questions and advise needed.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wait for them to hatch, hopefully before you leave, then transfer them to their own tank if you have one cycled. They may be fine with their parents for a couple days but they will need their own grow out tank eventually or they will end up protein snacks. Your fish are ZZ's

Ok im leaving in 20 mins and just checked what's going on. The female has collected all the black vibrating eggs into a corner :D there are still some black eggs among the milky white but each hour she's picking a few and collecting them.

Most of the white eggs now hav swollen up and have kind of fungus net on them, i tried to scoop them using a pipe but the female attacked and won't let me. The male and female are strangely still getting along.

I was to seperate the parents but my other tank broke, i instructed my mail to feed them twice in the 35 hours imma be away so fingers crossed.

No we didn't :D i used the liquid alright, it's only after the eggs were fertilized that the milky unfertilised eggs caught the fungus.

Anyways i just got back to town 10 mins ago, the female and the male still seem happy together, there was a glass plate in the tank and the femalr has collected the babies below the edges of that one.

They ate the babies, perhaps i pushed it when i let the parents with the fry for too long. Lessons for next time.
