Yes -- if you are doing daily siphoning of poop and not overfeeding -- otherwise in a week a FH is going to produce a LOT of waste and I personally wouldn't want my FH sitting in that (even in a 115 gallon) for a week. Get your self something like this battery powered tank cleaner (you don't have to use the electrical hook up as shown, batteries are safer) -- it only takes about 5 min. for a quick cleaning and it'll make your (and FH's) life much easier. I have one for each of my tanks, not only FH.

Here’s another update. Still improving! Nearly impossible to get a good pic of him because he’s swimming so fast. He’s even following the food tongs now! I think I may also need to get a background for the tank since a mirror is behind it.

Just wanted to update! He’s definitely a happy flowerhorn now. He still gets darker when I’m about to feed him, but he doesn’t have the “stress bars” anymore. Any food suggestions? Right now I switch between the prime cichlid flakes w/ probiotics and bug bites. I have frozen blood worms for by betta would he eat that as well?
