My flowerhorn is just starting to develop gill curl I have posted a photo, done a 50%water change twice this week now am going to do one every second day can it be reversed and go down?

Water parameters
5ppm nitrates
Between 0ppm-0.25 ammonia
0ppm nitrites

You should have zero ammonia. Your cycle isn’t finished it. Cut back on feedings and bump up water changes

One handful or two of aqurium salt could help a bit depending on the size of your aquarium, along with your water changes & less feeding

I don’t know if this was already mentioned in a previous post, but you should increase the tank temperature to around 82 - 84 degrees which will increase the metabolism on the fish, and possibly speed up recovery.
