Are you talking about Petzone?

cacichlids;5079259; said:They had one that looked even worse... like 10" with torn fins, dull color and deformed face in a 10 gal dirty tank at some LFS here in miami... for $300. But the owner is some indian guy greedy as **** so I wasn't surprised.
Gruntking;5079272; said:What fish store is that? Im trying to find some other places i havent been to down here.
cacichlids;5079306; said:117 and Biscayne blvd... "something's fishy"
you can tell he wasnt playing when he chose the name lol
but he does have good deals sometimes... he's got a bunch of african butterfly fish for like $10, which is nice. Arowanas tho, I think there's a 5" for $150 or something like that lol
LFS here suck tbh... most of my fish are shipped from other states. The nicest, cleanest lfs I've seen here is aquarama in 21 nw and 27 ave. And some farms in homestead which are so worth it if you have a day off.
Worst LFS in miami: pet connection usa @ 930 nw 27 ave. just.don't.go.there. algae, ich, dead rotting fish and deformed faces is the nicest thing you'll find.
Gruntking;5079321; said:LOL yea most of our pet stores do suck. I know an owner of one personally. Its called Animal Pet Shop on 110 ave and bird road. He sells other things besides fish but has about 20 tanks with cichlids/community fish. His prices are probably the best down here and he can special order. He has large 4" african cichlids for $6 each while petsmart is $25.
Have you ever been to Neighborhood fish farm on 122 and bird? They have good stock but its a fish farm and most of their fish are kept in poor quality water conditions.
I will definately have to check out aquarama, but have heard that their mostly saltwater, and the place you just told me as well.
Have you ever been to AllFishEmporium in Tamarac?
cacichlids;5079369; said:never been to those.. I'll def. check em out this week. I like exotic aquariums on 7399 bird road too, last time I was there I got an adult breeding pair of australoheros sp. red ceibal for like $22, they had eggs in the tank and everything.
They also had a stunning 12" green terror for $100, juvenile paratilapia polleni, frontosa and many other species I rarely see in miami. overall a really nice store
aquarama has saltwater but they have a lot of big, healthy cichlids and it's pretty cheap imo. they sell live ghost shrimp for $0.10 so I always buy from them to feed my fish. 100 for 10 bucks and they last about a week cleaning the tank before all are consumed. give it a try
and someone here told me allfishemporium is an awesome place with a huge selection but I haven't had the time to go there yet.
