Daisy has what looks like possible tears on his tail fin. I can’t tell because of my very poor vision and the fish is almost constantly moving or in a spot I can’t see him at. It’s very possible that it’s just his tail fin growing because it looks like it only on the outer rim of the fin. Also happy to say daisy is getting a new color, he is getting a dark blue trim around his pelvic, anal and now tail fin and hoping it spreads to his dorsal. But what do you guys think. Also the water quality is perfect but the water I’ve just realized it oddly cold. I don’t actually have a heater in my tank. It was lost while setting up and don’t have an extra. But estimated temp is maybe 73° The heater is set at 79° but for some reason hasn’t been working. Brand is marine land.

Don’t think it’s a tear it’s just growing

Thanks that what I think too. I found my glasses and took a closer look and just looks like it’s growing. Just wanted to see some other opinions.

Ok this is very funny. Saw a blurry spot on the glass so I wiped it with my magnetic algae scraper( yes I use my algae scraper to clean the outside glass sometimes lol) and daisy started freaking out. He absolutely hates this thing. Made a new game though. Chase the scraper. Also found out that whenever daisy get angry, hungry, and when he’s sitting in his tree that his the flower ( I think it’s called. I’m not sure tbh) becomes a lot darker than when he’s just swimming around. This is what I mean by flower

Yeah that's him trying to be dominant basically telling you this is my home now do one ?. It's good for them to get a little worked up I thinks it's doing the same for him as adding a mirror every day.

When I put my hand flat on the front glass of my tank I get the same reaction from my FH. He'll spread all his fins trying to look big and swims In circles trying to attack my hand each time he passes it.

Yea he’s became very uninterested in the mirror. Today I tied some fishing line to it and hung it from the lid so it’s about halfway down instead of floating to see if it would change anything but nope.. he occasionally goes up to it and flares a couple times but only does it like once a day so I’ve decided to keep the mirror in 24/7. Might start playing chase the scraper with him for a couple minutes every other day
