Flowerhorn has cradlecap. What to do?

Yeah I hear him pop them every once in a while.
Maybe that's why he's got that. I know my FH gets that from hitting the lids. I don't really do anything.. just keep with water changes and it heals.

I agree he probably just nailed the top of the tank. When they get that big they get really clumsy. Sounds like prime is the way to go maybe changing over affected his slime coat. Make sure you read up on the dosage for your aquarium salt and don't overdo it because of your pleco.

Over the weekend he was in rough shape. Gasping for air beside the intakes. I was worried I was going to lose him. He is looking much better today. I have been doing daily water changes and I did switch to Prime on Saturday. What is the opinion on installing a UV Sterilizer. In the log run do you think it is a good idea? He does seem susceptible to problems. It may help.
