anyways.. i have a green matrix about .. 3-4 inch in size that has hex. i treated it with metro . completed the treatment and it seemed to be success?? i think????? it doesnt poop white anymore buh still dont eat. i mean it ate frozen BW buh could not accept pellets in any kind. chingmix, sumo, humpy head, hikari, alife, etc. it only accepts BW and shrimp buh i dont want to feed it shrimp again because i think that was the reason why this guy got hex in the first place, i do not recommend people to feed dried shrimp buh thats just me LOL. anyways..

what seemed to be the prob? how come it wont it yet? and how would you know the surgery is a success? lol and BTW. i didnt feed it through out the medication, after the medication i tried feeding it frozen BW and it did eat. is that good? or bad.?? this my first time treating a fish with hex and its killing me more than the fish LOL

thanks in advance people. -.-

Got hex (first time for hex for me also) in my flowerhorn, but didnt use metro, no time to get to metro, and have none. Fish fixed in 24 hours. Owned!
I was so happy, am waiting and watching now! Everything seems A1 again.

I doubt the shrimps have anything to do with this especially when freeze-dried. They're not normally a source of internal parasites and incidentally, internal parasites can thrive in high organic matter just fine enough to establish their colony in your tank. You might need to vacuum more thoroughly assuming your tank has substrate in it. Continue the metronidazole treatment for another 3 days. If your fish refuses to eat, then mix the foods with garlic to entice the fish to eat. Garlic also works as an aid to anthelmintics by irritating the parasites and pushing them out of the digestive system.

Probably wasn't Hex then.

Keep feeding your FH soft foods. When my fh was recovering from hex it took awhile to get back on hard foods. I bought some wax worms from the bait store and that seemed to help.

of course no one could have an alternative treatment, oops left out that I treated also with an over the counter medicine. had come back to share but as it wasnt hex in fobrinkles opinion there is no point, I shall keep my secret to myself then. obviously I am an idiot, sorry for being excited and wanting to help

Ps If you would like to know what I used feel free to pm, but due to this being a forum and obviously containing all types of people including cretins I will now not share secrets without a request, sorry for not handling being told Im wrong about this. this is definately hex, I am definately not an expert, or an idiot, just a bloke that has had a bad run for thelast 3 weeks and has spent most his time in vet sites over that time.
I have over 350 fish in my house but hey what the heck would I know!

No reason to get so upset. Please tell the alternative treatment cause it would be nice to know. Hex just doesn't disappear and that is what your previous post said had happened.
