It really doesn't look like Columnaris which is one of the few things you can diagnose with sufficient confidence without a microbiological techniques. I'd be worried it's Aeromonas which has been found to cause dropsy in Oscars.
Can anyone help me. Is my flowerhorn sick? He recently faded and is still in the process. Black spots showed up on his face, mouth and head area. Is he sick?
Can’t tell if it’s dropsy on the pics. Don’t look like dropsy. But there’s something going on. Would suggest Epsom salt 1 tbsp per 5g. Kanamycin and furan2. My best suggestion.
