Flowerhorn hole in head !

Hey guys I don’t know where else to turn on some info about my rescue Flowerhorn. I got him a few months ago Knowing that he had previously had HIH, even having a scar leftover from it. But it has seemed to come back with vengence , I’ve been trying to treat with metroplex but I’m not sure it’s working. He now has a bubble over one of the holes seen in the pic below.Is this a sign on him getting worse or a secondary infection ? Or him just healing. Any info on how to cure him would be great as I don’t want to lose him.

Hith likely didn’t go away. It can have a opportunistic infection and hard to treat as it’s a stab in the dark as it’s a guessing game. Looks to be an older fish so it maybe hard to recover on top of being sick.

Would cont with metroplex and mix with seachem garlic guard. Add epsom salt to the tank 1 tbsp per 5 g. Would add triple sulfa and isoniazid. Dab the areas in question with methylene blue on a Qtip daily.

Just my suggestions. Chronic problem and hope it gets manageable. Best of luck.
