I've noticed a small hole in my flowerhorns head aswell as some white poop. He has also been acting more aggressively than usual. Other than that nothing has changed. All the water parameters are normal, I feed him three times a day consisting of beef heart, pellets, and shrimp. I'm wondering if it is hexamita or not. If anyone knows, please let me know what I need to do to treat it. So far I have added some aquarium salt and an immune booster.
Thanks

is there any changes in attitude? has he been eating well?

Edit: I dont think its hexamita, with hex usually there humps grow smaller and they lose color, and yours is very vibrant, is there anything in the tank that he can scrape his head in?

Could be the beginnings of hith. Aggression maybe just be from being a cichlid. When fish are sick they become a bit more lethargic and regress. Not eating or active. etc.

Check ur water parameters. Would feed only the pellet at this time. Cut out the beef heart and shrimp.

He's still very active and eating well. The tank doesn't have anything in it that he could scrap his head on.

Is there any medication I should use?

General cure seems to work pretty well for most things. Also I seen in your too most pic that you have a heater in your tank, also noticed it does has some edges to it where the suction cups are clipped on. He could have scratched himself in the edges of that. I used to have problems with mine scratching himself on the heater clips untill I wrapped a fake plant around it.

Sorry correction it was the bottom most pic not the top.

I’d suggest check ur water quality. If it’s bad then this can stress fish and cause hith. Check ur water hardness too.

For meds I’d try some methylene blue on a qtip. Dabbing the area once a day. Feed some hex shield or metro plex.

Just my suggestion. Best of luck.
