Probably new to fh and fishkeeping and he doesn't want to look like a fool when he posts it to facebook flowerhorn group or Instagram / reddit. Then he'll condition his beard and fix his hair using his flowerhorn's mirrored bottom tank and walk away from the fish until he needs to post it on social media again. You know how things work these days
Don't worry about strain. The strain and genotype doesn't matter much unless you are breeding them. Great fish.
