Wait for real FH keepers to chime in.. Anyone says this is a red monkey obviously doesn't know what they are looking at.

Ok will do.... A well known lady that's into the flowerhorns over here in the states had said the same thing... But you know I just want to hear it out of more people...lol

That's what I was thinking.. I personally think its just a gold base srd.

These two would rather argue with me than add another opinion look up fading red monkey and you'll see animal guy hasn't made any current flowerhorn threads and doesn't realize the different types of fish I've owned let alone flowerhorns I'm not one to parades everything ive owned on the web and he seems to deny all information about flowerhorns on the web but has none to support his theories and even though cho likes to argue in discussing facts he does have some good facts even though he comes up with some strange stuff like this a vieja shape gold based super red dragon if you can find a pic of one let me know cause I've never seen one if I put anything on a thread you will see these two on there most likely after I get to it its alright though you live and learn but not from trolling

Whoa whoa whoa there, calm down. When you say "comes up with some strange stuff like this a vieja shape gold based super red dragon" is kinda wrong. I don't know if you misunderstood me somehow but i'll try and clarify. I stated it was a gold base srd imo. Simply a srd that is gold bases. When I say gold base srd its not like I was creating a strain of fh that doesn't exist, simply a srd that has a coloration of gold which is known as gold based among the hobbyist.

From my experience red monkey's don't show flowerlines, have mouths similar to kamfas that are generally more sunken in rather than OP's fish that has a mouth that protrudes more than a average red monkey. The tail and fins dont extend as much as a red monkey which is a dead give away. The tail should be massive, dorsal and anal fins should surround the tail and it just doesnt. Just by looking at op's fish the mouth, body shape/fin shape, flowerline, and coloration shows its just a srd that has a coloration of gold as it's base.

Very nice female, her base alone makes her prized for breeding.
