Males have longer more feathery fins. I dont keep males so I have no pictures. The males also have no orange

The only thing is she/he is starting to get blue, green, purple coloration

I wish I had a pic of my old male. He had super long, feathery fins. He would get blue in his fins when he was fired up about something.

Definitely a solid adult. Mine passed when he was around 2-3 years old & looked like this.

He died due to a power outage, he had many years left in him.

It’s just the bars, he shows nothing like that, and he has way more coloration, I can’t figure out how to upload another photo but those were just his stress colors, he’s completely exploded with coloration.

And I would bargain he will get more and more coloration.

It still screams convict. Dominant coloration often shows little to no bars although all are visible in the picture just provided. Could be a hybrid of different species within the genus.

Could be a HRP or cross of one too. They tend to get a bit more colorful. IME, Cons & their types will breed with ANYTHING that pays attention to them. So it could be a hybrid of some kind. But there is HRP/Convict in that lineage for sure.
